Uncondusive enviroment at Tudarco,Mikochen Campus

Tumaini University Dar es Salaam College is one of the colleges which provide higher education in the country. TUDARCo  as it is called in short is owned by religion institution called Lutheran Evangelical Church. The buildings  of TUDARCo has been  located at many  various place in  town and  country wide. But, my concern is this  college where I pursue and is the college which involve Department of mass communication.

Tumaini University Dar es salaam College(Mikochen Campus)
Previously the Department used Kinondoni campus to educate mass communication students, but it was shifted to Mikocheni one year ago. The Department have good lecturer who are craving to accomplish their duties perpendicular with what they had been assigned to do so .On other hand students also are much enthusiastic to receive the materials from their lecturer .In fact this is life of day to day college to anybody who can cite real meaning of college life.
Unfortunately the situation at Mikocheni compass is cumbersome .Generally environment is not conducive for study especially for a higher learning. The classrooms doesn’t have good system of ventilation, the rooms are always hot even those ceiling fan doesn’t work properly to confront the hot weather in the classroom. The pipes which carry the sewage smell horrible. But the horrible thing is the smoke which comes from electricity Generator. This smoke is very dangerous for student’s health. This Generator has been placed where doesn’t have enough space for air free it faces the class where its smokes goes.

On other hand the college doesn’t endure the security for student’s properties  during class lecture .Many events has been happening in the basis of theft of window power in students cars .But, till now no clear and satisfactory measure has been  taken. Horrible thing is that for several time of theft occurrence are done within few meters from   college security’s  standby post,  sometime this can read they do conspire with those thieves .however so far no steps had been taken.

We are doing college examination this time while our sentiment are divided into two segment to those students  who own cars, because concentration might prove failure as soon as your flash back goes to what happened  to the pastor previous days in relation to ongoing observable fact with no proper action taken.

The importance of social networks in the society

Social networks are communities of people who share interests and activities, or who are interested in exploring the interests and activities of others on the internet. Most social networking websites provide multiple ways for users to interact using chat, messaging, email, video, voice chat, file sharing, blogging, discussion groups and so on. Such sites typify web 2.0, as much of the content is user-generated. They have become very popular very quickly.
Social networking (SN) has become the new online rage. Blogs, wikis, feeds and social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.These social networks are useful they can be used to benefit the government by providing and creating ways to recruit, engage, connect and retain employees.
They can also provide an opportunity to facilitate strategic knowledge sharing across organizations and government agencies.
Several government agencies are taking advantage of these Web 2.0 tools for recruiting and talent management, as well as improving job performance. For example, Facebook as a method of attracting college students to apply for internships or jobs. The National Environmental Management Council (NEMC) created a Facebook network for employees to achieve better talent management as a way to share knowledge, build collaboration and improve employee engagement. Internal social media networks can facilitate staff feedback and the sharing of information.
Social Networking sites provide new opportunities to public in which they can make use of social networks for their benefit, like expressing their own opinions, find others with similar interests and experiences, and share and learn in a virtual environment.
Artists can debut albums, film-makers showcase their creations, anybody can sell whatever they wish, advertise local events, things to do and places to go, share viral videos…
Young people want to express themselves, are socially highly interactive and mobilize around issues very quickly for example; the ongoing crisis of the Arabic countries is the results of these social networks
There are some great examples of innovative use of social media in public services, including the highly-regarded Patient Opinion site but there are growing signs that social media is beginning to be used by more public bodies for staff communication and collaboration.
As a Source of information, social media can be used to assess the reaction of the audience on particular issues/ burning issues due to the fact that people they air their views in various forums. For example Jamii forum; through that, the journalist can make an analysis on a certain issue which is burning ones, so through these various and continuous day to day programmed journalist had access and opportunity to analyze the contribution ideas, feelings, opinions or suggestion of public which later on can improve media content.
To conclude we say that, we have seen that Social networking (SN) which comprises Blogs, wikileaks, Twitter, Face book and LinkedIn have become the new online rage. Moreover have provided creative ways to recruit, engage, connect and retain employees. They have also laid down importance overview by providing an opportunity to facilitate strategic knowledge sharing across organizations and government agencies. Due to these facts both Government and journalist should take strong measure to provide more encourage to the public on the basis of use of these SN as among of one way of freedom of expression process. This will create many ideas outlets which is crucial from various perspectives from public and later on work on it.
These SN will provide more widely knowledge to be available, encourage selective exposure processes whereby people search for information which is consistency with their existing views. This may turn result in creation and strengthening of homogeneous groups. But, also government should keep in touch with these SN so that they are used in the way that they promote civility, social capital and democracy participation rather than political alienation and extremism.

“The world is in turmoil.”This strong message was delivered by Reverend   Sendoro during Christmas morning session at Lutheran Evangelical church at Mtoni Kijichi when he was preaching to hundreds  of Jesus Christ followers as memorial ceremony for his birth many years ago.

Jesus followers listerning  to Reverend Sondoror

Rev.Sendoro said that God created man in crave that it was the success of his seven days of world creation. It was good for man to live in it to fulfill what should have proved
God’s power among gods. This was true strong bond relationship identity between God and man. However man didn’t accomplish what God desire , because through his assistant and lack of his consistency they  were found themselves violating harmony with God. Since then they started to live their own live hiding their face from God. Reverend   Sendoro continued to say that millions  of people lost good style of live and turned to be sinners which didn’t interested God, and that why he send his beloved son Jesus Christ  to save lost people as  we are commemorating today. Reverend Sendoro said Jesus Christ went away to heaven but his message is still strong and powerful in this world. Christmas day is God’s identity  of love to us and is our duty to avoid wrongdoing in our life said Rev.Sendoro.

hundreds follower  gave him a standing ovation by clapping their hands and  sang short chorus of songs ,Reverend added that  the world had changed technologically  and socially, because of its development in various aspects  man have abandoned  almighty God , people doesn’t think and consider any more about God ,some of them now they are talking about legalizing homosexual marriage this is explicitly sin in front of God.  It does it make sense a man marrying a man said Rev. Sendoro in loud and hash voice. Giving example he said how are you going to introduce a male fiancĂ© to your parent, no,it is impossible better die than to sell our dignity. So during this we Christian we should keep in critical thinking ,while depending God who is the solution of every thing ended Reverend Sondoro. Various choir sang different variety of songs which some supported both Rev.Sondoro message but also Christmas ceremony.
In streets of Temeke area very few people were found and it was like normal day, people were not busy I had interview with two people the first one  was called Juma Omary who said 2011 Christmas had come in worse situation days  because many people had been victims roaring Dar es Salaam  flood season which had claimed the life of people Omary continued to say that people are to see how they will survive and sustain normal life now rather than rushing for ceremony.  But, on other hand the other one by name called Suzzy Lamarck said that in spite of huge flood which occurred in Dar es Salaam which has immersed people in unanticipated hard life , but, also income takes great role. Insufficient  of income doesn’t  meet the  requirement needed .For instance this is the end of the  year many parents are confronted with many requirement Suzzy cited .Schools fees payment for children, house lease,    she said that due to this don’t  expect much comparing   many to the previous years because life is tough.

The situation was different in Coco beach where people were many and uncountable along the beach. Various races were found there in great number like Chinese, Indian, local indigenous people, Arabs and white people. It was very difficult to find open space for car park even for some one to stand. Every one seemed busy doing something, some were swimming, drinking and eating and others were chatting at least everyone was busy I went interviewing a white man who introduced by one name called Smith who said I didn’t fly  back to Europe  but I can’t miss to celebrate Christmas with my fellow Tanzanian that why  I am here and is real good day to me said Smith.
